ENDER LILIES: QUIETUS OF THE KNIGHTS
Metroidvanias are thriving, and those looking for good games in the genre are spoilt for choice, but even in such a packed crowd, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights stands out. For starters, it looks absolutely gorgeous and has a killer soundtrack, while its combat and exploration, inspired heavily by the likes of Hollow Knight, are defined by strong design decisions and tight mechanics. The behemoth that was Metroid Dread may have sucked all the oxygen out of the room for all other Metroidvanias in 2021, but if this is a genre you enjoy, Ender Lilies is pretty much unmissable.
