Slice, Dice and Rice

Arc System Works may be turning heads with Dragon Ball FighterZ but it was be publishing one of its previous unorthodox titles for the PS4. Out next week, it’s Dojo Games’ Slice, Dice and Rice which previously released for Steam in April 2017. It recently came to the PS4 in Japan in December and will arrive for the West on February 14th 2018.

What separates the game from more “traditional” fighting titles? Well there’s more of a samurai aesthetic here and players control one of eight characters. Each has their own stories and fighting styles and the art-style is very comic book-esque with the details. What makes things interesting is the lack of a health meter.

Instead, every slice will affect you in a different way. It’s also possible to end fights with one clean strike. Slice, Dice and Rice features different mechanics like parrying and clashing, move-lists and so on. What are your thoughts on the game releasing next week? Let us know in the comments.
