Sniper Elite 5

Sniper Elite 5, the latest entry in Rebellion’s shooter franchise, will be releasing for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2022. It will also be available for Xbox Game Pass on console and PC from day one. Check out the first trailer below which features the series’ signature X-ray kills.

Set in 1944 France, the story sees Karl Fairburne discovering a new project, Operation Kraken, that could have threaten the resistance before the Allies even intervene. As such, it’s up to him to stop it. Along with utilizing real world locations (that look even more life-like thanks to photogrammetry), the shooter features a number of infiltration and extraction points, targets and much more to tackle in each mission.

Players can also go solo or play in co-op with new features like sharing ammo and items, healing and orders. The trademark sniping returns along with more movement options like sliding, shimmying across ledges, and zip-lines. Extensive customization for each weapon, right down to the ammo type, is also provided.

Along with the single-player campaign, a new Invasion Mode for PvP against a player-controlled Axis sniper, 16 player multiplayer battles and a four player co-op Survival mode is also included. Stay tuned for more details on Sniper Elite 5 in the coming months.
