So Hideo Kojima, what is your next game for the PlayStation 3?

After the recent news that Hideo Kojima might be coming back to PlayStation 3 games development, we at Gaming Bolt decided to put our thinking caps on and try and come up with what  Hideo Kojima might develop next for the PlayStation 3. Hideo Kojima is a legend so it’s a no brainer that he might be developing something very new for the system. But anyway, here is what we think:

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: Special Edition

Much like Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, Hideo Kojima might be working on the special edition of Guns of the Patriots. Every game in the series has always had a special edition and it is truly surprising that the most popular and perhaps the best game on the PlayStation 3, does not have a special edition yet. Check this out folks, this might actually be the one he is talking about. And did anyone said trophies?

Zone of the Enders: Sequel

It’s been almost six years since the last game in the Zone of Enders series was released. Hideo Kojima has expressed his interest many times in numerous interviews that he might be making a sequel very soon. The game was praised by many for its beautiful visuals and graphics, fast and intense boss battles, and excellent controls. We would love to have a sequel on the PlayStation 3, so keep an eye out for this.

Snatcher : Sequel

For many people who actually don’t know what Snatcher is all about, here is a bit of info. The game is basically set in the first person and the player takes up the role of Gillian Seed, the protagonist of the game. The player can perform a variety of actions like look, talk, investigate and acquire several items. The player can also communicate and share information through a Metal Gear. I am not sure whether this would be a Blu-Ray based game as, if Kojima decides to make a sequel, it may in fact be an exclusive PSN downloadable game.

Policenauts: Sequel

Again one of the games that was mentioned in many of Kojima’s interviews and also had a mention in almost all Metal Gear Solid games through images and media, Policenauts might actually be the game that Kojima will bring to the PlayStation 3. The game is similar to Snatcher, in the sense this game is also set in first person mode. The player can use the shooting trainer at the police department to test their reflex and accuracy. There are numerous puzzles in the game, including an event where the player must dismantle a bomb by following their partner’s instructions. Again this might actually be a PSN downloadable game.

Metal Gear Classics remake:

Perhaps the most wanted games by Solid Snake fans would be a remake of Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 which were released in 1987 and 1990 respectively. I am not sure whether Kojima will actually go for this, since he always strives for new and innovative achievements in video games. Though we had a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid, we might see both of the games packed on the same disc. Let’s keep our fingers crossed on this one.

A Completely new  Game?

This might be possible since Kojima has hinted several times that he wants to make a new game. But he never said anything about what he wants his game to be based on. However, if he makes something new and original, particularly as an exclusive, we can be guaranteed success!
