Never, and I mean never has a developer diary (or any kind of video blog for that matter) with a door being opened and a greeting offered, been a good one. The fact that this one was prefaced with the Sega logo doesn’t help their case.
So here we have a behind the scenes look at Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal and as you would expect it’s all about how lucky they are to have the chance to work with the Sonic Team.
They do however seem genuinely interested in growing the Sonic Boom franchise, and after the initial reception (which was fairly dreadful) that’s not going to be an easy task. The Western market isn’t really something you can appeal to by slapping sports tape onto characters and changing their proportions.
Despite the fact that I don’t like the look of the Sonic Boom world at all, the game does look rather fun. What are your thoughts on it? Let us know below.
