Rise against the Deadly Six this Fall.

A new trailer for Sega’s upcoming Sonic Lost World revealed some of the Colors powers Sonic would be using in his latest adventure to stop the so-called Deadly Six. More importantly, the trailer confirmed the game’s release date for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS: October 22nd.

While Sega will be handling the console version, Dimps – responsible for the Sonic Rush series on the DS and Sonic Generations on the 3DS (among other titles) – will be developing the handheld version. The game will be one of three planned releases which will be exclusive to Nintendo’s platforms as part of a deal between Sega and Nintendo.

Whether you like the new powers or not, no one can deny that they add some interesting twists to gameplay. The Colors powers will reportedly be controlled using the Wii U’s GamePad (and we imagine using the 3DS’s touchscreen). There will also be radio-controlled gadgets in the game that can be used and shared between both platforms’ versions.
