With Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Sega promised over 70 gadgets and extensive vehicle customization. A new trailer showcases just how far both of these can go, especially when leaning into specific racing styles. Check it out below.

Among the various vehicle types, from typical karts to Extreme Gear, you can customize parts and tune different performance aspects. Together with decals, there are more than 70,000 unique vehicle combinations. As for gadgets, it’s possible to combine different power-ups, causing a Giant Rocket Punch to garner Rings if it successfully hits an opponent.

But that’s only the beginning. You can harness loadouts like Air Trick Expert, which emphasizes performing as many air tricks as possible to garner Rings, and Rapid Spin Knockback for constant spinning. It should be interesting to all the different combinations that players can come up with.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches on September 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the latest revealed track – Digital Circuit from 2006’s Shadow the Hedgehog – here.
