Sonic the Hedgehog movie

A new trailer for Paramount Pictures’ Sonic the Hedgehog, based off of Sega’s legendary platforming hero, is now available. It showcases Sonic’s new and improved design, right down to the classic red sneakers and white gloves. We even get some new scenes of Sonic being a lovable goofball. Check it out below.

It’s definitely a step up from the original film design which received tons of backlash. Even Sonic creator Yuji Naka expressed disappointment at the blue blur’s look. The film was subsequently delayed to February 2020 to alter the design and thankfully, it seems the post-production team has gotten it right.

Unfortunately, the corny live-action aspects including Jim Carrey hamming it up as Doctor Robotnik are still intact. But at least we get to take the journey with the Sonic we know and love. Sonic the Hedgehog is out on February 14th 2020 for cinemas. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
