As reports indicated before Summer Game Fest, Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released worldwide on October 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. A fresh gameplay trailer is live and highlights the enhanced visuals of the original and Shadow’s new campaign. Check it out below.

While the Sonic Generations portion features everything players loved about the 2011 classic, Shadow’s campaign is a standalone tale. Players will embark on a new story that sees the Ultimate Life Form battling the returning Black Doom and taking on foes like Doom’s Eye and the Biolizard. Of course, he can also unlock some new abilities.

What kinds of new abilities? Well, he gets some black wings with spikes. It’s edgy, for sure, and certainly in keeping with Shadow’s identity. For those who want to experience the original campaign, ping-ponging back and forth between Classic and Modern Sonic, it’s also looking pretty snazzy. Stay tuned for details and gameplay before its launch.
