Sony announces third party support for PSP2, 82 companies backing up the system

Posted By | On 27th, Jan. 2011

Sony has released a list of all the third party developers from Japan, North America and Europe who will be supporting their PSP2, and I have to say, it’s a staggeringly impressive list…. I mean, come on, 82 developers, and the system has just been announced. I’m guessing there are gonna be more soon. That is, if they don’t mess it up like they did the PSP.

Biggies like Rockstar, 2K, Level-5, Namco, Capcom, Tecmo, Konami, Square, Activision, Ubi and many more are featured on the list. Even High Voltage and Epic are there. What’s surprising is that there’s no mention of EA.

There’s no news on any titles from them yet. Capcom has announced Lost Planet 2 and a downloadable version of Monster Hunter Freedom 3, and Kojima said they’re working on something big for the system and also showed off MGS4. We don’t know if it’s being ported, or if it was just a tech demo. We do have a video, though.

Other than that, Sony have announced LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Resistance and Uncharted for the system. They even showed off Uncharted.

More info coming soon. Stay with us.
