This is totally not an April Fools joke guys, as Sony has confirmed that it is going to abolish Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and create a new organisation called Sony Computer Entertainment Japan/Asia.

They have also abolished Sony Computer Entertainment Asia.

So what has changed? Nothing, actually. This is just some minor organisational changes that the company has done on a new fiscal year starting today. This is not a troll because you don’t troll shareholders in serious matters such as these.

President of the new organisation will be none other than SCEJ’s Hiroshi Kawano. You can check out the complete details here.

The timing of the announcement shouldn’t be viewed with skepticism because it’s a new fiscal year and companies don’t engage in trolling. Well, most of them anyway.
