Sony Files A New Trademark For ‘Days Gone’; Could It Be Related To The Last of Us?

Could this be the name of the second game?

Sony has apparently filed a new trademark for something called ‘Days Gone;’ the trademark is for a new game (or an online game), and it was filed on December 28.

Not much else is actually known about the trademark, but just the name throws up some interesting possibilities- could this, for instance, be related to a new The Last of Us game? The name certainly seems like something that would fit that IP (bonus trivia: the pilot episode of The Walking Dead TV series was called Days Gone Bye; The Walking Dead and The Last of Us, of course, share many thematic similarities). Could we be looking at the subtitle for the next The Last of Us game?

Even if so, we might be pretty far out from the official announcement- Naughty Dog is currently involved in finishing up their long awaited (and delayed) Uncharted 4, and it’ll probably be a while before The Last of Us 2 is released.

Of course, there is also the possibility that Days Gone is something else entirely, a brand new IP- in which case, the question is, what is it?
