Sony Giving Away Free Copies Of Star Wars Battlefront Premium Edition To New Subscribers of PS Plus In Europe

Only for new subscribers, however.

It looks like Sony wants to induce new long term subscriptions to PS Plus. In Europe, at least, Sony is giving away a free digital copy of Star Wars Battlefront: Premium Edition to anyone who signs up for one year of PS Plus. The Premium Edition of the game includes the base game, all its updates, as well as all expansion packs and DLC released for it.

Plus, it also seems like you get to actually keep Battlefront even after your subscription lapses (as opposed to it being tied to your subscription, like free games with PS Plus often are). Of course, you won’t be able to play it online, and online play is all it is good for, but still. It’s the principle of the matter.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like anyone who is actually still subscribed to PS Plus, and has been for a while, gets anything of this sort. Oh, the perks of being a loyal, long time customer.
