Very soon Sony’s PS5, their next generation console, will be on store shelves, at least in theory, who knows what stock will actually be like. It’s an exciting time even with all the various woes within the world. The system is compatible with Sony’s PSVR headset as well, even though the PS5’s camera was confirmed to not be in past. With newer Japanese PSVR bundles including a new adapter for said camera, it was hoped that there would be some way to get that adapter other ways. Well, ask and ye shall receive.
Sony announced that they will be giving out the adapter that allows you to use PSVR on your PS5 for free. They have set up a website for requests. You’ll need the serial number of your PSVR, which can be found on the hookup box that comes with your system. The website is through here.
The PlayStation 5 will launch on November 12th and the current PSVR headset is available now. There has been no official word on a successor to the PSVR, though there are a lot of rumors floating around.
