Sony has significantly expanded its presence in the PC gaming space in recent years, having brought a number of its major first party PlayStation-exclusive titles to PC, including the likes of God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, and many others. And with the company continuing to move forward with its plans for PC support, it seems it’s looking to bring the PlayStation experience to the platform in other ways beyond the actual games as well.
For instance, it looks like Sony is preparing to bring support for Trophies to its PC releases. TrueTrophies – which tracks PlayStation Network and Trophies uploaded for titles to its backend – has claimed in a recently published report that it has scanned a new Trophy list called simply “Trophy Set” that lists “PSPC” as its platform.
The Trophies allegedly share compatibility with the PS5, suggesting that Sony could be running internal tests to bring support for Trophies to its PC releases. It would also line up with reports last year of Sony looking to bring PSN integration to its future PC releases.
Sony’s next game due out for PC is Horizon Forbidden West – Complete Edition, which will release for the platform sometime in early 2024. Helldivers 2 is also due out for PC (and PS5) in February next year.
