Sony Live Streaming PS4 Japanese Launch Event

Sony celebrates PS4's Japanese launch in style.

Sony has announced that it will be live streaming the Japanese launch event of the PS4 at the Sony Building in Ginza from 10:30 P.M when it launches in Japan on February 22, in which the first Japanese buyer of the PS4 will be handed his system by Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida and Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House.

Other than these two and SCE Kapan Asia president Hiroshi Kawano, other guest attendants will include Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid V), Toshiro Nagoshi (Yakuza), Naoki Yoshida (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn) and Shinji Hashimoto (Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III). There will be two more guests- Viking, who’s a comedian, and Mayuko Kawakita, who is a female model.

These guests will be talking up the PS4 with gameplay exhibits and video letters.

Sony will also be handing out 100 tickets on a first-come first-serve basis to buy a PS4 at midnight starting 11 PM in Ginza, and thirty of these people will be invited to the launch event as well.
