Sony on Crash Bandicoot for PS4: Activision Owns IP, Ask Them About It

For better or worse, Sony has no control over when we'll see Crash again.

Still hankering for the good ol’ Crash Bandicoot on PlayStation 4? Well tough luck, because it’s not going to happen soon, even if system architect Mark Cerny is still in the platformer development market. SCEA VP for Publisher & Developer Relations Adam Boyes recently confirmed via Twitter that Activision still owns the IP for the game.

Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll never see Crash again. Activision could very well be in the process of creating a new game in the series as we speak (with recent rumours and leaks indicating that this was indeed a possibility). But again, it will be some time before this is a reality and it will most likely be multiplatform.

Are you interested in seeing Crash Bandicoot again, even if his last few games have been less than memorable? And what do you make of him travelling to other platforms? Let us know in the comments below.
