One of the most promising upcoming games on PlayStation 4 is Bloodborne, the new collaboration from Sony Japan and From Software- notably, the last time the two companies worked together, we got the excellent Demon’s Souls, which then went on to spawn Dark Souls and influence an entire generation’s sensibilities on game design and aesthetics. So of course, great things are expected from Bloodborne, right?

Well, yesterday, Sony announced the game was delayed from its original February release. It’s not a big delay- just a few weeks- but to people who were looking forward to the game, of course it stung.

Well, today Sony spoke out on the delay, and promised Bloodborne would be a better game for it, also stating that they are looking at exceeding expectations with the game.

I personally have faith- everyone involved with Bloodborne has an exemplary track record, and if Bloodborne is even half the game Demon’s Souls was, let alone Dark Souls, I will be very, very happy.
