Gamescom is easily the most important games event after E3. The event allows developers and publishers to give their games a launching pad before the all important holiday season. In short, the event’s importance has grown in the last few years.

Industry insider Tidux who was spot on about his predictions about an Uncharted 4 teaser trailer and several firmware announcements has revealed that the event is very important for Sony. “#Gamescom ranks almost as high as #E3 internally at #Sony, #Gamescom will be the most important Games Convention soon. #PS4,” he tweeted. Last year, Sony had a great Gamescom show where they showcased their strong indie support.

On another note, some PS4 users have been asking to make sub-accounts as master accounts and vice versa. Anonymous Sony developer IWorkForSony revealed that they have no plans to change sub account functionality. “No plans to change sub account functionality, currently. Might be in the back log… I’m not sure,” the developer said on Reddit.

Earlier this week we had reported the reasons behind the delay in pushing out new features for the PlayStation 4. The developer further clarified the reasons behind the delay stating that they wanted to “rush the system out of the door, in time for the holidays.”

As usual all of this information should be taken with a massive grain of salt. But what are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments section below.
