The PS4 will not be about pure hardware grunt but more about enabling new innovative ways to play. According to the latest specs, the PS4 will be supposed to have a dual camera, with which new gameplay experiences can be created like Kinect.
Nikkei reports that one unnamed SCE official has said the PS4 will act as an entertainment hub rather than focus on its specs. However, we know for a fact that Sony’s first party studios like Naughty Dog and Guerrilla Games can do a lot with the next gen hardware.
The console will focus more on creating new experiences and a share button on the controller will enable users to upload 15 minutes of gameplay to YouTube without taking a hardware hit.
Sony will be revealing the system on February 20, so we will know more about the system then.
