Mental supplements are probably well known to anyone who is a student- you know, all those miracle drugs and recipes that boost and enhance your brainpower, memory, and concentration, and which are sold with the guarantee that this will definitely help you top your exams, for reals, swear, guys.

Apparently, and this is real, Sony Computer Entertainment- the PlayStation guys, basically- have gone ahead and filed a trademark for ‘Mental Supplement’ at the Japanese Trademark and Patent Office. And we have no idea what in the world it is or it means- the filing specifies “electrical connectors, wires, electrical cables and electrical adapter, universal serial bus cables,” which tells us crap all, of course.

Maybe it’s Sony’s own take on the Wii Vitality Sensor/Nintendo Quality of Life/Fitness initiatives?

In which case… why? And why in the world is the PlayStation arm handling all of it?

Huh…?
