Sony wary of the Wii U threat, puts emphasis on content

E3 this year turned out to be pretty disappointing but there were a few things that stood out. Something that allowed you to dream, and also gave you an idea of what to expect from next-gen consoles.

“[Wii U is] obviously a potential risk but we feel really good about our content,” SCEE boss Jim Ryan said to GI International.

“Obviously, it comes down to content. There are people who buy gadgets for the sake of the gadget, but that’s pretty niche. We feel good about our line-up that we showed at E3. We’re very excited about publishing it.

“We’ve got 30 million (hardware sales target) for this year, it’s a big number but we’ve got the tools to go out and deliver that.”

The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls will be released in 2013. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
