South of Midnight got an impressive new gameplay showcase at Microsoft’s recent Xbox Developer_Direct presentation, with a release date also being announced. Alongside that, developer Compulsion Games has also now revealed the full system requirements for the upcoming action-adventure title’s PC version, courtesy of its Steam page.
Unlikely fellow upcoming first-party Xbox release DOOM: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight’s requirements are relatively much more reasonable. On minimum settings, the game will require either an i3-8100 or a Ryzen 3 1300X, along with either a GeForce GTX 1060 or a Radeon RX 580, and 12 GB of RAM (erroneously written as MB on the Steam page at the time of writing).
Meanwhile, on recommended settings, you’ll need either an i5-7600K or a Ryzen 5 1600X, along with either a GeForce RTX 2060, a Radeon RX 6600, or an Arc A580, and 16 GB of RAM. Regardless of setup, you’ll also need an SSD and roughly 55 GB of free storage space.
South of Midnight is due out on April 8 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Premium Edition owners will get early access starting April 3.
