Spec Ops: The Line Receives Free Cooperative Multiplayer Content

Posted By | On 22nd, Aug. 2012

It’s back to Dubai then for Spec Ops: The Line, with some cooperative multiplayer action so a friend can enjoy the hallucinatory experience of killing innocents in the name of justice (oh, and spoilers). The best part? It’s free of charge for anyone who owns a copy of the game.

The cooperative bonus content centres around a series of objective-based cooperative multiplayer scenarios (after the horrible sandstorms of course). There’s a ton of team work and fighting past waves of enemies to ultimately prevail. There will be different playable characters and we assume some unique content, rather than single player missions retooled for the sake of two players.

Will it lure people back to the lacklustre multiplayer mode? Well, of course not, but at least it offers a way to play together without suffering the bland free-for-all of deathmatch.

The bonus content is now available for XBox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
