Microsoft announced yesterday that it would be moving its E3 show from its traditional Monday morning spot to Sunday evening- it was an interesting change, as it now gives Microsoft its own day at E3 (previously, Sony’s conference would follow Microsoft’s a few hours later, with Nintendo getting the next day all to itself).

What, then, was Microsoft’s reason for this move? Responding to a fan who asked him this very question on Twitter, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said that he is ‘confident’ of what Microsoft has to show at E3 this year, while at the same time also apologizing to European viewers, for whom the Xbox stream will now be too late in the night.

Spencer also took a moment to address the question of more PC and Xbox One games- with Cities Skylines and Path of Exile being two PC games that are coming to Xbox, Spencer pointed out that Microsoft’s initiatives in making Xbox One and PC game cross ports easy will hopefully encourage more PC developers to target Xbox, too.

Maybe a lot of these formerly PC exclusive games will be announced at Microsoft’s E3 show this year. Of course, the star of that show, as we all know, will be the upcoming Xbox One Scorpio, which is due out later this yea.
