It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for the newest Media Create report on video game hardware and software sales in Japan for the previous week. On the hardware side, things slumped, with every system seeing lower sales than the previous week. The Switch was at the top, with 38,738 units sold, its lowest total in a while. PS4 came in second place with a little over 17,000 units, and 3DS with under 7,300 units was third place.

On the software front, things were much more impressive. Spider-Man, which had an extraordinarily good debut in Japan, had amazing legs, with only a 35% week on week drop exhibited, and over 80,000 units sold. It outperformed all new releases for the week, including Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which came in second place with less than half the units sold. Nintendo software, obviously, continues to show great legs (though the new Labo kit, which launched last week, had a pretty week debut).
