Splatoon 2’s Next Splatfest Asks Players to Settle the Age-Old Question: Forks or Spoons?

I refuse to dignify this with a serious response.

Nintendo is either running out of ideas for Splatfests, or it has way too many of them. Splatfests, for the uninitiated, are monthly events for Splatoon 2, which see players asked a question with two possible answers. Players choose a side (one of each is endorsed by the game’s announcers Pearl and Marina), and then any games they play in Turf War count towards their side.

In the past, Nintendo has asked some truly soul searching questions in Splatfest. That is a tradition they will continue with this upcoming one, which asks players to choose between forks or spoons. Like I said, they are either running out of ideas, or they have way too many of them.

The Splatfest hasn’t actually been announced, it was discovered by dataminers for the North American version of the game. If precedence is anything to go by, then this Splatfest will be announced tonight, and held over the next weekend. If you don’t fight for the glory of spoons, you are dead to me.

Splatoon 2 is out now, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
