Splatoon 2’s Winter Splatfest Asks You To Choose Between Friends and Family

Marina is representing Friends, because she doesn’t actually have a Family left anymore.

Splatoon 2’s Splatfests is the monthly events in the game where a question is asked with two answers, that players affiliate themselves with and fight to represent. These have been known for asking some pretty important questions in the past, but the question they will be asking with this Winter’s edition might be the most important one of them all.

The question is: friends or family? Pearl will be representing the Family side, while Marina fights for Friends. This makes me feel very conflicted, because I want to fight for the Family side, but I also support Marina in every Splatfest, and don’t quite like Pearl… decisions, decisions.

The Splatfest will be a global one again, meaning you and your friends from across the world can play together (usually each region gets its own Splatfest), and will begin on January 2, 2019 at 2PM PT, running for the next 48 hours straight. Which is a lot of time to try and rack up some wins for your side.

What side will that be? Friends of family? Pearl or Marina? Let us know in the comments. Splatoon 2 is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
