Splatoon 3 is still a ways off, with a release scheduled for an undetermined date some time in 2022, but Nintendo has started revealing new details on the shooter nonetheless. Following a gameplay showing at the recent Nintendo Direct, they started revealing new stages and weapons in the game via Twitter yesterday, and it looks like they’re going to keep that ball rolling, with more of those having been revealed.
Another new stage that’s been revealed is the Museum d’Alfonsino. Situated in Inkopolis, the large museum has many contemporary works of art and will serve as on of several places where players will be partaking in Turf Wars- which means a lot of that art is going to get paint splattered all over it.
Meanwhile, another couple of weapons have also been revealed. There’s the Big Blubber, which shoots out paint and can be fixed in place to increase its output. Meanwhile, another new special weapon essentially turns you into a ninja, or a Zipcaster, allowing you to zip around the map using “super stretchy and sticky tentacles.” Interestingly enough, using this can also let you employ some stealth, which should prove to be an interesting mechanic.
Splatoon 3 will launch some time next year exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
The Big Bubbler is a modified version of the special weapon once used in Inkopolis. Fixing it in place has greatly boosted its output. For the Splatlands Inklings, bigger is definitely better. Protect your allies with this bubbly barrier covering a big area. pic.twitter.com/uJQ2YwSqhF

This special weapon transforms you into the stealthy warrior Zipcaster. Super stretchy and sticky tentacles let you zip around in all directions! After use, you return to the place where you transformed to keep your identity hidden. A warrior's path is a lonely one. pic.twitter.com/hNXQIWmayG
