Splatoon 3

Nintendo has announced the first Splatfest for Splatoon 3. Announced through a trailer, the first post-launch Splatfest asks players what they would like to bring to a deserted island. The options available are gear, grub, and fun. Check out the trailer below.

The first Splatfest is set to kick off on September 23, and will take place for only 3 days, ending on September 25.

Splatfests are fun ways for players to divide themselves up into teams and work towards making sure their side wins. Players are typically presented with a multiple-choice question, and after making their choice, any matches won or lost count towards their choice.

Players can then partake in Splatfest Battles, where the goal is to ink as much of the stage as possible. Splatoon 3‘s Splatfest Battles include Tricolor Turf War battles, which are 4v2v2 matches.

In a departure from Splatoon tradition, Splatoon 3‘s Splatfest feature three sides rather than the two sides in Splatoon and Splatoon 2‘s Splatfests.
