Developer 1047 Games has released a new trailer for its upcoming shooter Splitgate 2, showcasing some of its fast-paced gameplay that melds arena shooting with portals. Check out the trailer, which was showcased during The Game Awards, below.

The trailer expands on some of the things we saw in the original gameplay reveal trailer released back in August, which also showcased the three playable factions. The new trailer goes all-in on the game’s core portal mechanic, which allows players to place to portals and move across the map through them.

Going by the latest trailer, Splitgate 2 seems to be building on some of the concepts from the original 2021 title, with an especially higher emphasis on portals. The game, modelled after a televised sport, will have players compete against each other in fast-paced, high-octane matches.

While Splitgate 2 doesn’t yet have a solid release date, the title is slated to hit PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S some time in 2025.
