Spyro Reignited Trilogy

During their financial conference call, Activision dropped some interesting information regarding the rebirth of a certain purple dragon. According to Activision Blizzard themselves, preorders for the upcoming Spyro Reignited Trilogy have been well ahead of expectations.

Not only have preorder numbers been blowing up, but Activision is pleased with the tens of millions of views the reveal trailer has accumulated across its platforms. Activision Blizzard would be quoted as saying that the audience responds very well when the company does these kinds of remakes right. And by the looks of it, Activision is really giving Spyro the royal treatment.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on September 21, 2018 for $40. There’s no word on a Nintendo Switch or PC release at this time. Given that Crash is only now making his way to those platforms a year later, it’s not impossible that Activision is working on those versions for future release.
