Square Enix Is Teasing Its Strongest Lineup in History for E3

Just what is the house of Final Fantasy planning?

If your hype for Square Enix’s first E3 conference in year has been dampened lately, we don’t blame you- after all, we already know that neither Final Fantasy XV nor Kingdom Hearts 3 will be shown off at the event. And while Deus Ex: Mankind Divided looks ace, it can’t command the kind of attention and adoration that Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts do.

Perhaps privy to this general sentiment, Square Enix has taken to trying to drum up some hype and anticipation for its show next Tuesday. In an article in Famitsu (translation by DualShockers), they said, “At this year’s E3, we’ll have our own conference for the first time after two years, where we’ll deliver to everyone the rich line-up of the Square Enix Group. What we’re going to show off at E3 is unprecedented in the history of Square Enix, with a strong line-up in which each can be considered a centerpiece.”

Of course, Square Enix’s idea of big announcements includes hyping up a re-release of a port of the PC port of Final Fantasy VII, so I’m not sure how much I am buying into this, but we’ll know for sure this Tuesday. Stay tuned.
