Square Enix: It Is Not Yet Time To Reveal Final Fantasy XV’s Release Date

They're starting to get on my nerves again...

Final Fantasy 15

If you were one of those people who, like me, were hoping for a release date (or even release window) for Final Fantasy XV already, well, sucks to suck, because that didn’t happen at Gamescom, in spite of the extensive coverage and exposure the game got there. While we did get a neat new trailer, there was no release date attached to it.

And were you hoping that it would be coming soon? Well, don’t hold your breath, because it is not. Square Enix’s Hajime Tabata has confirmed that the development team is not yet ready to discuss the release date of the game- which probably means they aren’t sure enough of the game’s development to be able to commit to one right now.

It’s really frustrating, because Final Fantasy XV simply looks so great, and it looks like such a return to form for the franchise. But I can’t actually love it until it exists, and it can’t exist until it is out.

Get it out, Square Enix.
