Square Enix Reschedules Its E3 Conference

To avoid conflict with Nintendo's presser.

square enix e3 reschedule

When Square Enix announced the time and day for its E3 press conference, there was some confusion- the slot they chose was the one that Nintendo has traditionally had its events in. How would this work? And indeed, when Nintendo announced its own E3 show, it was at the same time and day as always, meaning that Nintendo’s E3 and Square’s E3 were at the exact same time.

Someone would have to blink, or fans of both companies would have to compromise.

Realizing the conflict in timings (as well as the fact that it’s probably not a good idea to have your own show at the same time as a console holder’s), Square Enix have done the right thing and rescheduled their E3 conference– it will now be at 10am PT on June 16, rather than on 9am PT. This means Nintendo gets the 9am hour all to itself.

Now we can watch both!
