According to IGN, Star Fox Wii U is indeed in development and will be releasing in 2015. The game will allow players to manoeuvre their Arwing using the Wii U Gamepad and you can even transform it into a helicopter or Landmaster tank depending on the situation.

Shigeru Miyamoto is also working on two new projects, namely Project Giant Robot and Project Guard. Giant Robot is about creating your own robots and using them to battle with the GamePad – where you can also head into cockpit mode to fight other robots – while Guard is about defending the Earth from a robot invasion. You’ll be able to employ 12 different cameras to guard against enemies in Project Guard and it should be intriguing to see how the mechanics work.

Regardless, Star Fox for the Wii U is indeed happening. Are you excited? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below along with your favourite game from Nintendo’s presser.
