Star Wars Battlefront 2

Right now all eyes are looking toward the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as far as Star Wars in video games go. But the Battlefront series is still going, with the second game in EA’s revival still getting updates. It seems the two games together have also managed to sell quite a bit in their limited time on the market.

During EA’s quarterly conference all, it was announced that the combined sales of Battlefront and Battlefront 2 surpass 33 million copies. The second game was said to miss its expectations back in 2017 and was embroiled in controversy due to the game’s monetization aspects in its multiplayer (something that’s still being felt to this day), but it still seems the games have managed to sell well, which explains why their expectations for the sales of Fallen Order are so high. It is worth noting that EA did choose to combine these sales, and it’s not clear what each version sold individually. Despite this success, it’s also been said that a third Battlefront will not be happening anytime soon.

Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefront 2 are available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
