DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 has finally received new information on its upcoming open beta courtesy of the PlayStation Blog. The beta will start on October 6th till October 9th but those pre-order can play from October 4th onwards.
Modes and maps available include Galactic Assault on Naboo, which is the same 40 player map showcased at E3 2017 involving the Separatists and Republic Clones. Four different classes will be available including the Assault, Heavy, Officer and Specialist. Heroes and vehicles from the prequel era will also be available to take control of.
Open beta players will also get a shot at the new Starfighter Assault mode which will be an “epic starfighter assault set during the original trilogy era, piloting an assortment of Star Wars’ greatest ships in an objective-based, multi-stage battle.” You can expect more information on this at Gamescom in August.
