Star Wars Battlefront 2 Pre-Alpha Multiplayer Footage Leaked, Rey and Darth Maul in Action

The Assault on Theed looks pretty good.

The leaks have begun for E3 2017, namely for Electronic Arts’ Star Wars: Battlefront 2. DICE promised a 20 vs. 20 multiplayer demonstration at EA Play but footage of the same has already been released. Check it out quick before it’s pulled.

As a pre-alpha build, the footage seems to take place on Theed, the capital city of Naboo from Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Players can select a hero, in this case Rey or Darth Maul, and join up with a squad of troopers. The overall animation and lighting quality appear to be a step up from the previous game. Of course, we’ll leave that to you to judge.

Despite this leak, it’s likely that DICE will showcase single-player footage from the game during the actual presser. Past leaks have hinted at this but for now, we can’t wait to see more of the game in action. Stay tuned for more coverage as EA Play begins at 12 PM PDT.
