A little while back, we reported that a pre-alpha build of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was looking quite impressive from a technical standpoint, running on the PS4 Pro at a steady 60 frames per second, but being rendered at 1080p instead of dynamic or actual 4K resolution.
Those numbers have seen quite a significant increase since then, and the beta version of Battlefront 2 looks seriously impressive, with the PS4 Pro version having seen a marked improvement in terms of the resolution. The game is now being rendered at an impressive 2304×1296, using checkerboard rendering. The game uses downsampling when being rendered at 1080p.
The base PS4 version itself isn’t too shabby either, being rendered at a dynamic resolution ranging between 1600×900 and 1920×1080, which in turn is slightly better than the 1280×720 to 1600×900 resolution on the base Xbox One version.
You can take a look at all of this in this VGTech video below. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently in beta and launches next month for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates on the game.
