Star Wars Battlefront

EA’s Peter Moore arrived at the end of the publisher’s media briefing to showcase Star Wars Battlefront, DICE’s multiplayer shooter based on the classic franchise. This is the first time that gameplay footage has been revealed and showcases the Battle of Hoth as Imperial Soldiers work to escort AT-AT Walkers to the Rebel base.

The footage itself is captured from a PlayStation 4 and is actual gameplay footage though it’s still pre-alpha. Actual ground-based combat looks fairly intense with soldiers fighting everywhere, TIE Fighters soaring the skies and much more. Various abilities and weapons were showcased including a rocket launcher that handily destroys AT-STs. The various perspectives are impressive as it seems players will be able to fight on the ground or on the air. And key an eye out for the Hero characters near the end.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be out on November 17th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What did you think of the gameplay footage? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more E3 coverage.
