Star Wars Battlefront will be receiving its fourth expansion on December 6th with Rogue One: Scarif, inspired by the upcoming movie Rogue One that releases in theaters on December 16th. It’s worth noting that this is for Season Pass owners – non-Season Pass owners can purchase it two weeks later.
Rogue One: Scarif will feature four new maps, two new heroes – Jyn Erso and Orso Krennic – and a new mode that will combine multi-stage combat in space and on the ground. For VR owners, it’s worth noting that Star Wars Battlefront’s free Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission will release alongside the fourth expansion on the same day.
The appeal of Rogue One and Star Wars films can’t be denied but with Battlefield 1 capturing the attention of hardcore DICE fans, will Star Wars Battlefront maintain interest heading into 2017? We’ll find out next month so stay tuned for more information in the meantime.
