Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Is “The First In A New Franchise,” Says EA CEO

If you had any doubts Fallen Order wasn't going to be an ongoing thing, cast them aside now.

Last year saw the triumph return of single player Star Wars with the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game was a very solid return to form, and it seems that the force was strong with this one, as seemingly it will continue on as a franchise moving forward.

During a conference call at their quarterly earning, CEO Andrew Wilson talked about the game and its success, saying it was now to be the first game in an entirely new franchise. While this isn’t exactly surprising considering the game was recently announced to have amassed over 10 million players, it’s the first time it’s been acknowledged outright that a continuation of Fallen Order is seemingly planned. We do know that the game’s developer, Respawn Entertainment, is hiring for an unannounced Star Wars game and odds are not too bad it’s a sequel.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a Stadia version slated to come at a later time.
