Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order had an interesting showing at EA Play last month. While some appreciated the visuals and presentation, others found the overall action in the demo somewhat lackluster. However, many longtime fans of Star Wars agreed on one thing – the lightsaber didn’t look right.

Instead of having a white core like lightsabers traditionally sport, the one showcased during the gameplay was simply blue. According to director Stig Asmussen on the Game Informer Show, this was indeed a mistake. “We made a mistake on that one, and since then we’ve fixed it. That was very fair feedback, fair criticism. We’ve tweaked that, and we’ve also tweaked the shape of the lightsaber blade a little. You can see the difference right away.”

Yes, it may not be something that many people would notice, but authenticity can be pretty important for Star Wars fans. As it stands, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is on a good enough track with no microtransactions, combat that mirrors games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Metroidvania-like exploration. Just don’t expect any dismemberment because of Disney’s guidelines.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is out on November 15th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
