Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Launches on March 17th, 2023; First Gameplay Revealed

Cal Kestis returns, wielding an array of Lightsabers and battling the Empire five years after the first game with new abilities and skills.

After it leaked on Steam recently, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts announced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch on March 17th, 2023. The first gameplay trailer was revealed at The Game Awards 2022. Check it out below.

Set five years after the first game, protagonist Cal Kestis returns and has even more abilities. In addition to slowing down time, he can Force Grab a Stormtrooper and use his blaster to shoot other enemies. Various enemies, including new Bounty Hunters, are coming, but Cal has some new Lightsaber skills.

For instance, he can toss his double-bladed Lightsaber to slice multiple foes in a row. Cal also seems to get Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber from The Force Awakens and seemingly functions as a two-hander. There’s also another NPC who joins his adventure and helps in combat.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
