With Star Wars Outlaws approaching its release a little over a month from now, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment are continuing to roll out new details on the open world title. To offer us another extensive look at the game and its many moving parts, Ubisoft has kickstarted a behind-the-scenes series, and the first video in the series has been shared, revealing new information.

The video sheds light on protagonist Kay Vess, talking about where we find her at the beginning of the game, and how circumstances take her to grander adventures. Those adventures will, of course, see her crossing paths with a variety of different characters, including the battle droid ND-5, the main antagonist Sliro, and more.

Plenty of familiar villains from Star Wars canon will also appear as Kay deals with several different crime syndicates across the galaxy, from Jabba the Hutt to the leader of the Crimson Dawn, Lady Qi’ra, who was first introduced in Solo: A Star Wars Story, where she was played by Emilia Clarke. As previously confirmed, though the character will retain Clarke’s likeness in the game, she won’t be played by her.

In addition to familiar groups like the Hutt cartel, the Pyke syndicate, and the Crimson Dawn, Star Wars Outlaws will also introduce an entirely new faction in the form of the Ashiga clan. With members belonging eclusively to the Melitto species, the hive-like Ashiga clan can be found on the planet of Kijimi.

The video also goes into Star Wars Outlaws’ Reputation system, which will be central to the experience, and determine Kay’s standing with the many different underworld factions that she will deal with throughout the length of the game. Check out the video below for details on all of that and more.

Star Wars Outlaws launches on August 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Recently, Ubisoft also revealed details on the game’s space gameplay and its full suite of accessibility options.
