There have been more than a few question marks over what Ubisoft’s future lineup is going to look like over recent months, but one game in particular that has turned quite a few heads is Star Wars Outlaws. Massive Entertainment’s open world action-adventure title has looked promising in what we’ve seen of it so far, and is scheduled to release sometime in 2024- but what exactly during the year will it release?
In a report published on Insider Gaming, journalist Tom Henderson has claimed that Star Wars Outlaws is scheduled to release sometime during first half of the year, which means the game will launch before July, if things go to plan. More specifically, Henderson has said on Twitter that the game is currently targeting a May release.
Henderson also claims that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will release in the second half of the year, which aligns with multiple previous leaks, and that the next couple of years beyond that will bring the likes of the previously-announced Splinter Cell remake, a new Ghost Recon game, and more.
Earlier this month, Disney seemed to suggest that Star Wars Outlaws would launch in “late” 2024, though Ubisoft promptly said in a statement that that was an error. Officially, the publisher has stuck to the 2024 launch window, but has, thus far, refused to narrow it down.
Upon release, Star Wars Outlaws will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
