There’s been no shortage of recent indications that Star Wars Outlaws is going to release sooner than many expect. In addition to age ratings going up in Brazil, Australia, and South Korea, promotional pre-order material for the game has also been spotted in the wild, while leaks have previously claimed that the game is due out in the first half of the year. Now, a release date has leaked, and though it’s not quite in the first half of 2024, it’s still not terribly far away.
A story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws is set to premiere later today, though it seems Ubisoft has accidentally leaked details about its launch a few hours ahead of time. Spotted by Gematsu on Twitter, the premiere page for the trailer on Ubisoft Japan’s official YouTube channel briefly mentioned in its description that Star Wars Outlaws will launch on August 30, and that those who purchase its Gold or Ultimate Editions will get access three days ahead of launch. Said editions will seemingly also include a Season Pass, indicating that Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft have plans for post-launch DLC in place.
The trailer is set to officially go live not long from now, so we should be getting further concrete details soon. Stay tuned for further updates.
Star Wars Outlaws is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Users who purchase the Gold or Ultimate Editions (which include the Star Wars Outlaws base game and Season Pass) will receive three days of early access to the game.
