EA have announced a brand new game set in the Star Wars universe- a third person action game being developed by none other than Respawn, the guys who brought us Titanfall, and are currently also hard at work on Titanfall 2. If that pedigree is not impressive enough for you, consider this- the game is being headed up by famed game designer Stig Asmussen, the director who brought us the visceral and incredible God of War III on the PlayStation 3.

“Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Vince Zampella and his group. Their obsession with making games that feel amazing has helped make Titanfall one of the most successful new game launches of this generation,” commented Patrick Soderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios.” And now, with a new team led by Stig Asmussen, we get to see what they can do when you combine that great attention to gameplay with the power of Star Wars.”

So… this sounds like it will be absolutely incredible, and you know, a game that we never knew we wanted, but now that we know exists, can’t wait for already. Color me most excited for this Star Wars game, over all the other ones in development at EA, at DICE, Bioware, EA Visceral, and more.
