Bit Reactor might have had its struggles in the run-up to the release of Star Wars Zero Company, but a new message from CEO Greg Foertsch might be an indicator of happier, and potentially stabler, times among its ranks.
The company’s BlueSky page announced that the process of bringing the studio’s furloughed employees back into the fold has begun. He argues that the decision to furlough them has been what led to the circumstances enabling their return, a story that brings things full circle thanks to Zero Company being as good as it was.
It definitely had potential, and we could see it was more than XCOM with a Star Wars skin when we were looking at its gameplay in the promos. We’re happy its success has brought good news for its makers at a time when stories like this are a breath of fresh air in an industry that rarely allows for the same.
We’re hoping that the news of the old team coming back together eventually leads to the announcement of some juicy new content and perhaps an expansion or two to look forward to, but we’re going to wait on an official announcement before we jump with joy.
